In the Toro ruins which was discovered on the occasion of constructing the munitions factory in 1943 (the 18th year of Showa) were found the remains of rice fields, the ruins of wells, and the sites of pit dwellings and raised floor warehouses as the result of excavation and examination. In addition to those, such a variety of living tools as the instruments used for farming, hunting and fishing and the daily life implements were excavated. The excavation and examination of its ruins were carried out again between 1999 and 2004, and the good results of the discovery of the new building (a sanctuary) and the like were obtained. On the basis of the results of these excavation and examination, the construction for rearrangement which began in 2006 will be scheduled to continue until 2011.
